Common Problems

The two most common problems with formVista are:

1. incorrect file permissions
2. insufficient mysql access.

formVista errors are logged in formvista/site_local/var/logs. If for some reason errors are not being saved there, possibly due to permissions problems, you can create a special file called FV_ERRORS in the formvista root directory:

$ touch formvista/FV_SHOWERRORS

which will cause formVista to display detailed errors messages in the browser.

Note: Do not leave this setting turned on in production environments for security reasons.
